I used another of my scrap sheets to make a pair of seahorse earrings. I used a seahorse texture sheet and then painted with PearlEx metallic powders. That's all the playing with clay I did today. Click on the photos for a closer look.
Back of the seahorse earrings. I added lazer lace anchors for a little glitter.
You're my new polymer clay hero! :-)

Well thank you Cindy, what a nice thing to say, you made my day!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color! Being a "newbie" at this I have to ask - was the raw clay multi-colored to begin with or is it all from painting with the PearlEx powder?
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay in answering.... I only used PearlEx on the raised areas of the Seahorse, the marbled look is from combining different colors of scrap clay and then rolling and twisting until I get the desired effect. Hope that helps... and again I apologize for not answering sooner.
ReplyDeleteThanks for answering. When people say what technique they used on their piece, I always wonder what the raw clay started out as. Helps for getting an idea of how much original color can be changed by ink, powder, etc ...
