Polymer Clay on Colored Wire "Thing A Day" Day 22

Most of the time I make my polymer clay pendant and/or beads and then select what kind of cord, chain or wire I want to hang it on. This time I made the necklace first using yellow and black wire adorned with transparent yellow #8 seed beads and dyed yellow MOP teardrop beads. The pendant will hang from the center ring.

Click on the photos for a closer look.

First I made an assortment of yellow and black canes.
I made other pendant tiles but narrowed it down to these two.

The chain is elaborate so I'm trying to decide if the simple flower pendant would be best...or something more elaborate to which I can add an adornment of wire and beads.

I haven't attached either yet. I think I will jazz this one up a bit and then decide.

Which do you like?

I'm also not sure the yellows match well enough although they look better in person than in the photos. I might try making something in a more golden yellow. Decisions, decisions.

  2. Ditto! That chain is wonderful!! I like the flower very much but am also wondering if such an elaborate chain design might need an equally elaborate wire wrapped beaded piece... you could go simple or dynamic... no matter what you do with it, I know it is going to be fabulous!! Can't wait to see :)))

  3. Ooo, I hear ya. I can see some fabulous, wonky shaped, swirly, stone looking wire wrapped piece hanging there. But I'm torn because I like the cane work.....Okay, I'm no help. Cancel my vote entirely. LOL
