Polymer Clay Glitz "Thing a Day" Day 7

I'm taking a little break from faux fabric pieces... decided to do something with a little more glitz.

I used the over reduced cane from day one. I ran it thought the pasta machine several times to stretch out the pattern, then ran it though with a texture sheet and highlighted the raised areas with gold PearlEx. For the contrasting sheet I crackled gold leaf over a sheet of black clay, cut the two sheets into designs and sealed with Kato sauce. I sanded the sides and back.

For some reason I had a hard time with the photos, I tried 6 different backgrounds, these were the best... the pieces are more attractive in person.

Click on the photos for a closer look.

The first pendant is made from the scraps of the larger pendant. I coiled wire to make the bails.
This is a brooch. I need your help with this one. I haven't put the pin back on yet... can't decided which angle I should use... what do you think?

  1. first angle is my fav - and these are all lovely, BJ! Oooh, shiny....

  2. I vote for the circle at the top (2nd photo). These are all WONDERFUL!! I love them! I know I always say that, but your work is so good, I can't help but love it.

  3. Wow! These are wonderful!! My vote is for the first photo... looks like sun rays :)

  4. Thank you all for your help.... Maybe if I position the pinback right it can be worn either in the first or second position.

  5. These are awesome! I love the color with the black, almost zebra print on top. I love animal print and color together. The shape is really neat too!
