Most everything I make is an adventure. I rarely have a plan in mind when I go to the clay room.... Sometimes I am inspired by the scraps lying around on my work table, sometime I get I get inspiration by sorting through my canes.... sometimes it's the colors of clay in the drawer.... or maybe I see a pattern on a fabric... what ever strikes my fancy.... I sit down and let my muse take over. I enjoy playing with clay. My biggest problem is knowing when to stop!
Bear with me on the photos.... Heather isn't here on the weekends so I had to take them myself.
Here is my Day 4
This piece was uncured when I took the photo.... it is in the oven now.... The flowers are from a Jackie cane. I do love my Jackie canes!! Once it is cure I will sand the sides and seal the silver leaf. I've decided to make it a brooch so I will add a pin back.
Click on the photos for a closer look.
I also make some chunky texture beads. After curing I highlighted the raised areas with silver "Rub and Buff". The top one on the right hasn't been "rubbed and buffed" yet. I have more of these in different colors.
So there you have it... see you tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by.
Those are lovely, I particuarly like the brooch :) Interestingly combined elements and the design is very pleasantly balanced.
ReplyDeleteThank you Purky.... I appreciate the kind words.
