Okay last day of 2013 Thing a Day.... I've had a good time and I thank you all for putting up with my daily rambles.
I wanted to do something special for the last day so I made a layered Tropical Bird to put on a journal...
Click on the photos for a closer look.
with lots of little flowers on the sides and across the top... I love making little flowers, I'm tempted to put them on everything.

Here is how it looks on the journal.
a different view. I think I will list it on Etsy and see what happens. I have several covered journals that I would like to sell.
That's it for Thing A Day.... we'll do it again next year. In the mean time I will try to post once or twice a week so I hope you come back often.
Thanks for stopping by.
I love this, so beautiful! The little delicate flowers add the perfect touch!

DeleteThank you Trina... I do love my little flowers.
I discovered your blog while searching for texture idea. I love everything you make. You challenge and inspire me.
ReplyDeleteThank you Aviva, that is very nice of you. I am very pleased you like my blog. If you ever have questions or need additional information about any of my work please feel free to ask.
DeleteI have a question about the Sakura texture sheet. Did Chieko make it or is it ready made. I would love to buy it or exchange something for it.
DeleteYes Chieko made the Sakura sheet. I love it too.... sorry I can't give it up.
DeleteSorry, of course Cheiko made the texture sheet. I meant maybe she had used stamps or some other ready made texture. I would not dream of taking yours. I would love to exchange something with her if she will be willing. Meanwhile I have made many textures inspires by you.
DeleteMAGNIFICENT,your bird is incredible. How do you get the ideas to do that? Could you please send me what ever it is that you are eating, smoking or drinking? LOL
ReplyDeleteHehe, thanks Bonnie.... it's the hominy soup!! I have a collection of vintage boxes, mostly candy & chocolate boxes but also a few vanity boxes...that's where I get some of my inspiration. The deco bird was on the side of a hairpin box.... I changed him a bit but that is where I got the idea.
DeleteI think this is fantastic! Your creations are always so unique!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandy, so glad you like him.
